OUR PROGRAMS

Youth Programs

The Music Matters Foundation collaborates and forms partnerships with local music schools to provide a range of after-school programs. These programs aim to guide students on the right path in their musical educational development.

Your support and donation will help us to share our passion for teaching with our community.

 Music -  Scholarship Competition

This annual competition held each fall has been a source of motivation and inspiration for countless musicians from the King County areas and awards approximately $10,00 annually to young musicians. The Music Matters goal is to expand the passion for classical music through dynamic competition and compelling live performance. The competition serves as a platform for music excellence and aims to develop the performing skills of musicians, improve musical standards, and identify potential music talents by providing the opportunity for young musicians to perform in a competitive situation.

We perform for nursing homes, retirement communities, and public schools. Whether you're looking for an ensemble or solo musician to play songs to light up the room, or you're looking for an organization to provide a music curriculum or host music activities for your residents, students, or patients. Email us and we will try our best to find musicians that fit your need.

With your contribution, Music Matters will be able to give the used/fixed instrument to the young musician who has demonstrated extraordinary accomplishments on their respective instruments, and in service to our community through mentoring and volunteer work.

"Music can move us to the heights or depths of emotion. It can persuade us to buy something, or remind us of our first date. It can lift us out of depression when nothing else can. It can get us dancing to its beat. But the power of music goes much, much further. Indeed, music occupies more areas of our brain than language does-humans are a musical species."

About Music Matters

Music Matters Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to using music as a way to bring joy into people's lives.

Music has been part of human existence over centuries and is a universal language that can be understood by all. It has the power to inspire, heal and to bring people together to support great causes. It is our strong belief that music is an integral part of society and that everyone should have an opportunity in life to learn, play and create music.

We organize events and offer music programs that can support and promote the joy of learning and performing music. Our programs and activities are to cultivate the positive music learning environment and let audiences experience the happiness and beauteous of music through free public performances.

We also hope to support and partner with other non-profit organizations in charitable functions.
