
2026 Chamber Music Winner List

Donovan To, Alice Chen, Anthony Chan, Calvin To
The group has been performing together for four years, sharing their music at various charitable and educational community events.
Donovan (First Violin), a junior at Lake Washington High School, has studied violin for six years. A multi-instrumentalist, he earned an RCM National Gold Medal in piano, debuted at Carnegie Hall in 2024, and is a two-time WMEA All-State violinist.
Alice (Second Violin), a high school junior, has been playing the violin for seven years and has thoroughly enjoyed performing with the string quartet for the past three years.
Anthony (Viola), a junior and Principal Violist at Juanita High School, has played viola for eight years. He is a two-time featured concerto soloist for his school and a WMEA All-State musician.
Calvin (Cello), an 8th grader at Kamiakin Middle School, has studied piano for eight years and cello for five. He is a two-time RCM Regional Gold Medalist in piano and a multi-year LWSD Honor Orchestra member.
First Prize

Seohweon (Ted) Yun, Arabelle Grote, Max Zheng
AMT is a piano trio based in Washington State, formed by three high school students dedicated and in love with music. They have competed in the WMEA Solo and Ensemble where they received rank 1. They have worked tirelessly on this piece and hope to have been able to make more people fall in love with music.
Seohwon (Ted) Yun is a cellist in Washington State, and has won many awards as a, soloist competing in local competitions. He also participates in his local youth and school orchestra and really enjoys playing with his chamber group.
Arabelle Grote is a pianist in Washington State, competing in both international and local competitions. She also plays cello in her school orchestra and is passionate about music.
Max Zheng is a violinist in Washington state, competing in both competitions and playing with his local orchestras. He is very passionate about music theory and composition.
Second Prize

Jingwen Zhang, Aaron Jin, Lizzie Chen, Lily Chen
The Carl Quartet is a self-led quartet of 8th graders consisting of Jingwen (Violin) from The Overlake School, Aaron (Violin) from Tyee Middle School, and Lizzie (Viola) and Lily (Cello) from Redmond Middle School. Outside of music, Chloe likes reading, dancing, and listening to K-pop. Aaron likes to do math and piano. Lily also enjoys playing piano and frequently paints and draws in her free time. Lizzie likes playing sports such as basketball and soccer.
